It was in a beautiful setting. Is very kid friendly with families and very romantic for the ones who are not traveling with children like us!
Everything was FANTASTIC, but maybe sitting chairs could be steam cleaned to freshen-them up.

Great location in close to Algonquin Park. Air was fresh, the sky was blue, and the pine trees were beautiful. This place has a lot to offer any kind of traveler, with or without children. Next year we heard that the G8 Summit will be held there, great idea. Fantastic. I has golf for those who golf or you can walk the course for exercise after dinner. What a great get-away we had! read more

Beautiful grounds.
Many things closed during off season.

The building our room was in was quite old with low ceilings and older windows but the room had been updated with new furniture, beds and carpets. Bathrooms are very very small but the property is just beautiful. We had a beautiful lake view from the Bayshore building. Indoor sports area offers many choices. Because we were there in the spring, many of the outdoor activities were not available due to the weather. I would recommend going either summer or winter to be able to enjoy all that Deerhurst offers. read more

Friendly staff and lots to do.

The rooms are nothing fancy. Fixtures and decor are rather worn and outdated.

Good sceneries, hills, lake, etc.
Old rooms (Sport Villas).

We have been to this resort many times. Twice in summer time and twice in Winter. The area is great. Rooms, facilities are clean. We had buffet breakfast which I considered less than average and a bit overpriced. Overall, it was nice little vacation.

Luxurious resort that fits nicely into fall colours.
Price is high for hotel accommodation in Condo building.

Very pricey in bar and restaurants but service is excellent. Friendly, helpful staff and beautiful area on the lake and just on the fringe of downtown Huntsville with Algonquin Park 30 minutes away.

Beautiful location and great entertainment.
The hotel is showing its age, needs more maintenance attention.

We had a great weekend at Deerhurst. The problem is that the hotel is showing its age, and there doesn't seem to be much maintainence getting done (ie. peeling paint, worn carpet, etc.). Also, we found the service to be mediocre at best. People at the front desk and at the pub were less than friendly. Still, it's a beautiful location and the entertainment and amenities were lots of fun. read more
