The Howard Johnson Hotel By The Falls is superbly located 1 block from Niagara Falls, Casino Niagara, Clifton Hill, Maid of the Mist and the Skylon Tower. The Hotel is surrounded by over 150 shops, restaurants and attractions which makes the hotel the perfect choice when arranging your travel plans to Niagara Falls for either business or pleasure. Hotel amenities include indoor heated pool with waterslide, outdoor heated pool, sauna, whirlpool, fitness center, arcade and guest laundry facilities and a shuttle service to the Falls, both casinos and area attractions. On-Site restaurants include a Dennys which is open 24 hours and a Pizza Hut Express, Baskin Robbins and Victoria Cafe for your convenience. The property is a 7 storey building offering 198 spacious guest rooms starting from the oversized Deluxe 2 Queen Bed guest room to the unique Heart shape whirlpool Jacuzzi suites. Each guest room is equipped with a coffee maker, large in-room safe, iron and ironing board and hairdryer. Our 2 Room Family Suites and romantic Jr. Presidential Suites with a king bed, Whirlpool and Fireplace are also available. Meeting space is available and is ideal for smaller groups of up to 40 people. Must be 19 years or older to rent a room. Pets under 25 pounds are permitted on property, however hotel must be notified directly prior to arrival as rooms are based on availability and only certain rooms are designated as pet friendly. The mattresses were so comfortable that I barely got my head to the pillow before I was asleep!
A fee of $20 per dog was charged for each night rather than a flat rate for the dogs and the $15 advertised.

it was right in the heart of everything we wanted to see and do
the TV could have had more channels to watch and it sucked to have to pay for parking

it was a very nice hotel and the front desk help was great.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very close to attractions and eating places.
Microwave and refrigerator should come with the room rate rather than extra charge. Same with parking.

It was a pretty good hotel for the price that we paid. The staff was excellent at helping us with directions and attractions (saved us a lot of money!) Loved the location. Everything is walking distance. Swimming area was very clean, my daughter enjoyed it.

The hotel was at a great location as far as attractions, shopping and dining.
Just that you had to pay for parking (a minor detail).

The staff was very courteous and assisted with any questions and didn't act as if they had probably heard these same questions hundred times before. The room was clean. i would recommend the Howard Johnson's by the Falls to anyone.

Nice Jacuzzi and the staff was responsive and friendly.
No breakfast offered. no refrigerator/microwave in room.

I liked it. great location. clean. should have had breakfast offered. should not have had to pay for parking. Nice and friendly staff who were responsive. Comfortable room. Air conditioner could have worked better.

Location was great, easy walk to dining and attractions. Didn't have to move our car.

If you are looking for a reasonable cost, clean hotel and close to the Falls and attractions, consider this one. Met my needs. Rooms were large.

Outdated and not clean.

The hotel lobby was inviting, however, the hotel itself sorely needs updating. There were cigarette burns in the carpet and a not-so-pleasant smell to the room. We stayed in the same hotel 17 years prior and not a thing (except the updated lobby) has changed, including the red one piece tub unit. Give the rooms a facelift.
