Even the non-smoking room smelled of smoke, hotel staff argued in their native language and
poor internet service.

In this day and age one expects reliable internet connectivity. The non-smoking room smelled of smoke.

Too far away from Montreal (45 minute drive). Shower ran hot/cold without warning. At times, pipes were loud. Decor was dated. Wireless Internet access did not extend into rooms and was intermittent elsewhere.
