The bed was awesome.
The elevator was slow.

The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The flat screen TV added to the nicely decorated room.

Historic location, recently updated rooms and a fine breakfast included. Nonsmoking, too.
Thin walls. I could hear the neighbors late at night.

Nice rooms with a kitchenette and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was quite big, but lacked any counter space near the sink. I was pleasantly surprised that it included a continental breakfast. I also had a nice view of the street from my room. It was a nice setup for a business traveler. I would even consider bringing my family to stay here. The staff was friendly and accessible when needed. read more

Boutique style hotel.
Accounting staff had trouble getting the bill right.

Nice space but the accounting people charged my credit card for the entire bill and had a difficult time straightening things out. Other than that everything was very nice. Close to Metro, making it convenient to the entire city.

It was convenient to the train station and the Capitol.
I did not locate any good restaurants close.

For my purposes the location was excellent and the price reasonable. Older but in good repair.

I liked its close proximity to Capitol Hill and other attractions.
The high speed Internet advertised on the hotel's website is available in SOME rooms; wireless just in the lobby.

This hotel is perfect for those traveling to the Hill for business. Close to attractions, Metro stop, and various places to meet and eat. The bathroom floor was dirty and the amount of grime on the blinds on the bathroom window was enough to turn my stomach. You could hear the plumbing from rooms nearby and above me running. Internet access is not made available to in all rooms- HIGHLY inconvenient for those there for business. I had to take my computer and all of my things down to the small, busy lobby to do some work... Hotel staff also seemed rushed. I called down to ask a question about the frequency of cabs near the hotel and the clerk at the desk had hung up the phone before she had answered my question. I also overheard a Member of Congress complaining that the staff had neglected to give him his wake up call that morning... some "system" was down. Worth the $75 I paid- all over not worth the full price others pay. read more
