Very chic, boutique-like.
Excellent hotel with large rooms in a perfect location for the DC tourist. Nestled in a quaint residential setting only two blocks from The Capitol.

Very nice, convenient and great staff.
Room was large and very nice, quiet area and safe. Would stay here again. Internet was free. Computers in lobby were also free and could print off any materials needed. Breakfast was standard and adequate.

Great location, nice breakfast, spacious room, and a great kitchenette.
Compact fluorescent bulbs in every room, and there was no room darkening drapes.
Nice little boutique hotel. If you are looking for 5 star upscale, stay at the Grand Hyatt. If you are looking for someplace decent in a nice neighborhood, quiet, but near the Capitol, restaurants, good shopping, and near the metro, this is a good spot. Parking (the valet service) is a big issue - if you can get it, it is $32 a day! All the lights in the room were CF bulbs, which would have been fine if they were warm (color corrected), but they weren't, and the room looked weird. There were sheer drapes, and no privacy drapes - luckily, there were no windows looking into ours, but it would have been nice to be able to keep the room dark in the morning. The bathroom was very nicely appointed, though the toilet was for midgets - a European thing. The kitchenette was great (full size fridge, even!). The breakfast was very nice, and while quite busy, the staff kept everything clean and stocked. Overall, not a bad place to stay, especially if you get it at a really cheap rate. read more

Great location.
This is a great hotel for sight-seeing in DC, short walk to the Metro, restaurants right around the corner, short walk to the Capital and down the mall.

The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept on.
The conveniences (snacks, soda, etc.) were incredibly overpriced.
Really comfy bed and clean, updated bathroom. The room setup was a bit odd (there was a chair blocking access to the window side of the bed, so whoever was sleeping on that side had to climb over it or the other person to get out.) Overall, a very good experience.

The bed was awesome.
The elevator was slow.
The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The flat screen TV added to the nicely decorated room.

Staff was simply outstanding. They were extremely attentive and prompt about everything.
Rooms were slightly small for a family but this was really ok. Great hotel!
Wow! We were really happy with this hotel. A 2.5 star rating is kinda low. I loved the ambiance, location, and complimentary breakfast! The hotel was also in a great location to everything. We would definitely stay again.
