Location was great. Staff friendly. Parking free!
Although the hotel is somewhat older, the rooms were clean and the staff friendly. The hotel had a calm relaxed ambiance about it. Not a 5 star, but definitely excellent value for its location and what it had to offer. Would recommend this one to anyone who wants to stay in the Hilo area.

Rooms were large and spacious. Sink and toilet/shower area are separated by door.
No iron, no hair dryer; no in-room coffee; small drawers in chest.
The hotel is loacted right on the bayfront - the bayside rooms offer great views of the bay, of Coconut Island, of Hilo, of the volcanoes. The rooms are clean and spacious, although sparse on pamepering. Wish we had brought individual reading lights for the beds and a night light!

Convenient location and clean.
This hotel was conveniently located to the airport and downtown. It was located on the bay and has a lovely view from the lounge. The pool was small, but adequate. The TV was located in a place where it was difficult to watch from bed. There was a small patio overlooking a Banyan tree and the street.

Good hotel, nice views and easy to park at. Didn't have any trouble finding it or checking in, comfortable room.

Great location in Hilo.
The check-in and check-out staff were not friendly.
Great location. Overall hotel was somewhat rundown and front desk personnel were not friendly. I was very surprised by this since most of the people I came into contact with on Hawaii were very friendly.

Rooms dated from the70's-80's w/o updating.
Staff was helpful and friendly. The laundry room was small, not enough machines. I had to go elsewhere due to not being able to command a washer/dryer, trying for a period of time of four hours to do so. The restaurant was very overpriced. Parking was good and convenient. The room was old, dull and stuffy.

I liked leaving this facility.
The rooms were dingy, shower was not clean, and the hotel/client was ghetto.
I did not like this hotel. It was old, congested, and parking was unavailable when we checked in. The shower had mildew and fungus, there was no vent. The TV was small and old. The star level was all wrong and should be lowered along with the asking price.
