The location was wonderful, quiet, calm, with panoramic views of Santa Cruz and ocean.
After our credit card being charged, hotel applied additional $16.00 per night. Unlocked hallway doors.
We stayed in the mid-week. It was very quiet, calm and the panoramic views from the main terraces were spectacular. The room was large and very comfortable. The grounds were beautifully landscaped. It was a great getaway. I enjoyed the serenity.

Spa was nice.
Originally so - so hotel made nice by cosmetic upgrades.
My wife and I were hoping for an affordable getaway. We found the price to be a good bargain for the 4 stars. But in the end this is a cosmetic upgrade on a older hotel. The rooms are big, but potentially too big. The fixtures in the bathroom were falling down. Everything got a new coat of paint, but the old crappy closet doors are still in place, and the thermostat is just like the one in grandma's house. We got a room next to the staircase, and there was so much noise transfer that every single person that went up the stairs woke us up, and we are both deep sleepers. read more

Very comfortable bed, nice linens, nice hot tub.
Walls were thin, no elevator.
Older facility but nicely renovated. Large room with dining area but no refrigerator. Very comfortable bed with nice linens. On a busier stay noise could be an annoyance as the walls seemed thin. Hot tub was clean and hot! Situated just inside the forest
- we saw deer grazing by the pool.

They charged me an additional service fee, above what Priceline charges!
Everything in the hotel was fine, except the super thin walls and they charged me an extra service fee for purchasing my tickets on Priceline.com.

Hot tub heater was not working.
Very nice hotel but they do charge an additional $16.00 resort service fee. We were able to get it waived as the hot tub heater was not working.

Staff very friendly and accomodating.. The setting and grounds, excellent.
Mildew on the bathroom tiles and walls. The feather bed had quills sticking out into the sheets making it very uncomfotable to sleep,
The hotel staff, view, grounds and and room decorations were excellent. We changed rooms because my husband wanted a forest facing room. They gave us a handicap room which had mold and mildew on the bathroom floor tiles and walls. Totally unacceptable.

Secluded.
Next to a hospital and a cemetery.
Decent hotel for the price. Very secluded, but a little scary in the dark due to the location. Pool/Spa needs to be updated big time!
