Has a movie theater!
Room was well appointed, but a bit small.
Beautifully restored, independent hotel in St. Louis' central west end. Restaurant is great, innovative dishes and really delicious. Lots of amenities, courteous staff, and the smell of popcorn from the movie theater wafts through the lobby all day.

The decor was lovely, both in the common areas and in the guest room.
The lamp by the bed was broken. Parking was expensive!

I liked the local area eateries and shops.
The room was dusty and the air conditioning didn't work very good.
This is a beautiful hotel with a very professional and serving staff. We did have a problem with the air conditioning not working right so the hotel took $75.00 off our bill. We loved being able to walk to the local area eateries and shops. The restaurants and bars in the Hotel are very nice and the food and drinks excellent. The room was clean but could of used a little more dusting. We did enjoy our stay. read more

Much like hotels of the past. Felt like a respected guest.
No "smoking" rooms available
One of the grand hotels of St. Louis, recently renovated. Growing up in St. Louis, I think it part of the historical psyche of folks who couldn't afford to stay there in their younger years. Exceeded my expectations.

Nice size room, kitchenette, lots closet space.
Construction noise at 8 am, poor TV reception, restaurant.
Great size room (suite) with kitchenette suitable for long term stay, construction noise started at 8 am constant pounding, they said bathrooms being enlarged. Two other people in restaurant for breakfast, yet slow service. Television was 1980's vintage and poor reception, limited channels. Not up to snuff for four star.
