Windows that open and smoking room available.
No place to eat and located in rough area.
Boys went for a walk to store but were stopped by the police and told rough area, go back to hotel. No place to eat in hotel, no breakfast. Near a firewall so sirens all night. Carpet in rooms DIRTY.

The bed was very firm and they had flat screen tv's.
The bathroom was small, the hot water was not extrememly hot.
Convenient Location to downtown Philadelphia by car, 15 - 20 minutes to downtown Philly. The staff was friendly. the rooms were clean, the bed was very firm and the location off of exit 6 was right there pretty much couple of turns and your in their parking lot. I thought for the price to our location and the quality that I would certainly stay at a Day's Inn again.

Location.
Needs some updating.
We went to see Barack Obama speak at Widener University. We only had a 10 minute walk to the event, from the hotel, so the location was great. The rooms were comfortable, there was a blanket with a burn hole in it and the mini refrigerator was very old but functioned fine.

The attached diner (not part of the hotel) has good food at a low price.
Elevators need maintenance.
Adequate for our purposes, which was mainly to find a place to sleep after a long car trip.

None.
Room was unclean.
If you're picky about comfort and cleanliness, don't go to this hotel. The elevator was broken, the night staff was indifferent and had no sense of customer service. The carpet was stained and unclean, the room was smelly, the curtains were filthy and the bed linen was not on par with what should be hygienic. I'm glad I only spent a night there.

Convenient.
Location.
Friendly people. Convenient, because it was right off of a major highway.

The room was spacious and had some nice amenities.
The area was not particularly safe, it was in a run down part of Philadelphia.
This hotel is fine for a traveler who just needs a place to flop, however it is priced two high for this. Parking is an issue, the first evening we had to park in a handicap spot and the second evening we had to wait until a spot opened up. The staff however was very friendly and helpful. The hotel did have a fairly good place to eat. I could not recommend this hotel to the casual or business traveler. read more

Pleasant and convenient.
Parking problem and language barriers with staff.
Our stay at the Chester Days Inn was very nice, it was near our exit and not difficult to find. The young man who checked us in was not very friendly, however, the rest of the staff were very nice. The surrounding area was not very appealing and I would not recommend venturing out on foot very far from the hotel.
