Conference center was located in hotel.
Rooms were worn and dated.
The configuration of the hotel was awkward. The route from my room to the front desk was circuitous. There was no mention that the hotel has an indoor pool so I didn't bring a bathing suit. Not sure I would have swum in the pool after seeing how worn-down the rooms were. Luckily I wasn't expecting a Loews hotel room, so I wasn't completely disappointed for the money I spent. The pillows were totally useless as my head just sank to the bed whenever I laid down on one. For some inexplicable reason my electronic room key stopped working midway through my stay. read more

Very close to the location I need to be at for my party.
Nothing worked.
I had to change rooms three times. The first room the door would not work. Maintenance had to break into the door. I moved to the next room here the air conditioner did not work. At this point I had to leave for my party. So the staff said they would fix the problem. Later that night when I returned to the room my key did not work. I went down to the desk and they told me they moved me to another room. They presented me with the new room key. I than go up to this room. When I finally got settled I realized that my bags were still in the old room. Therefore, down to the desk I went to get a key to the old room to get my bags. However, the staff was very nice and very helpful and made this experience bearable. However they should disclose to you people that the hotel is under construction. Construction is the problem and the hotel should not be rated a class A. read more

The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was responsive and attentive.
Hallways need updating.
I had to travel through downtown Hagerstown to the hotel. The price was right for the quality. It was clean, safe and quiet. Room was up-to-date and comfortable. There is grocery store and restaurants across the street.

Loved the indoor pool and it was open early in the morning until late in the evening.
It is so big, it's sometimes difficult to find specific places in the hotel. Could use more signs in the hallways.
Overall, we had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was just fabulous! There were many great places to visit in the area. We were very comfortable. It's a family friendly place.

It was quiet during the stay.
Hotel is in complete disrepair. Actively leaking ceilings in public spaces.
The hotel and conference center is a poorly maintained facility. The staff, though friendly, is incompetent in managing the front desk. The rooms are old and smell moldy. There are leaky ceilings throughout the hotel in public spaces. The electrical system in the rooms appears to be antiquated.

Pool good for families.
Difficult to get to restaurant/bar connected.
Beds comfy, bathroom oldish and dull, security door not working, but our hallway was quiet, and we slept well, though we heard some complain about noisy people on other side of hotel.

Room was spacious, pool nice, appreciated refrigerator.
Advertised as having whirlpool (there was none); pool AREA was somewhat run down.
Overall, we thought it was a good value for the money. We did enjoy the pool twice, although were quite disappointed about there being no whirlpool when it had been advertised as having such. We thought the room and the location of the hotel were great, and also thought the continental breakfast was presented nicely. The fact that the hotel, especially in the pool area, seemed to be in need of repairs was the biggest detraction. For that reason we would not recommend it without some hesitation, but we were not dissatisfied with our stay. (Housekeeping was a little bit too obvious that they wanted us to vacate the room so that they could get their cleaning done, too.) read more

The price and location were perfect for our needs -- to see Civil War sites Sharpsburg and Gettysburg.
Generally run down.
All-in-all for our needs the motel was almost perfect. The staff were all pleasant and extremely helpful. The plumbing and mattresses left a lot to be desired, but we were so exhausted at day's end, it all seemed very pleasant -- again, the staff made the difference.
