All staff members were very helpful, smiling, and courteous.
Cramped parking lot, tough to turn around.

The staff was very friendly, smiling and courteous (from manager to housekeepers). The rooms were clean, albeit a little smaller than I'd have liked. Not much of a view. Every building is close to its neighbor. Plenty of hot water. Nice breakfast selection. Didn't have time to try the pool, but it looked nice.

Clean rooms with very nice indoor pool and good breakfast.
The parking area was restricted with poor flow pattern.

The hotel met/exceeded my expectations. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate. The pool was very nice and the location was convenient for my needs to downtown Monterey. I would go there again.

Close to everything, clean room and
good price.
Wireless internet a little spotty.

Great room, gas fireplace, clean, well maintained. Wireless internet would lose connection and require reconnect 2-3 times per hour.

Overpriced Motel.
Overpriced.

"Trying" would be the best description of this hotel. The breakfast was tacky with no coffee cups in sight, cold breakfast, and seating that could only accommodate a third of the people wanting to eat. The room was out of a nightmare. The carpet seemed dirty and the bathroom was as small as the closet. Even if the room was clean it certainly didn't feel like it. I do not recommend staying here. read more

Good location within 4 miles of tourist attractions, food and supplies.
The room was not worth the price.

Located in a good location to tourist attractions. Room was small and average, and in my opinion it was not worth the price. Staff was friendly, however, if you are considering the free breakfast, don't bother. Skip the stale cereal and muffins and have a real breakfast a mile down the road.

This is a small hotel, well located. It is not a new hotel but is well kept. The staff was helpful.

The staff went out of their way to accommodate us.
One girl working in the office was incompetent.

One girl working in the office was incompetent. She couldn't give us directions to the hotel, promised us a crib, then didn't deliver. Not only didn't deliver, but just left us hanging and went home. We called the front desk at 11 pm to inquire about the crib and the manager answered. He apologized for what had happened, and arranged to move us to a suite to compensate us for the missing crib. This exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this hotel to anyone because of that. read more
