Clarion Inn Richmond

This hotel was a drastic disappointment. A Howard Johnson motel would have been an improvement. Our bathroom was moldy, food and other garbage was under the bed, the carpet was frayed and there was no outlet for the lamp. The room had no refrigerator. When these problems were reported, the manager refused to move us or provide a refrigerator until my husband argued with him over 2 hours of back-and-forth phone calls. The refrigerator we received was dirty with crusted food and the drawers had garbage in them. The facility was actually an old motor lodge with new paint. It's a pity because in general the hotel seemed to have had better days. The rooms have a good size, but the furniture is in a really bad shape. I wouldn't have minded that much if I didn't have to add up the filthy areas in the room, around the bed and on the sofa-bed sheets, the old cigarette smell, and the overall deterioration of the hotel common areas. This hotel is only good for overnight stays while traveling to a final destination.

Crummy under renovation 1 star creepy place.

Was not represented well. Was described as a lovely hotel with a pool. It was a 2.5 star hotel. The wallpaper was falling off the walls, the tub was dirty and stained. There were stains on the sheets of the bed. Smelled of smoke throughout hotel. Employees were observed smoking in the lobby when the sign stated non-smoking. Would never stay at this hotel again.

The TV did not work. I was told when I checked in that someone would be up to fix it. They never showed. When I went to check out, I was offered a coupon for breakfast. It was useless since I had already eaten.

Clean, nice pillows, quick check in check out, convenient shopping center right there, Starbucks, right off of highway. complimentary toiletries if you forget them.
