Staff were friendly and helpful.
Rude, drunk college kids that stay there on the weekend that were loud and didn't care about others.
I really enjoyed the hotel, went there for the Texas game. The staff were very nice and helpful however, it was inconvenient when I tried to go through the door and found it to be locked and I couldn't use my key. Housekeeping failed to provide toilet paper and really give the bathroom a good cleaning. The restaurant located at the hotel was closed so couldn't take advantage of that. read more

Great Location. Easy to find and access.
Not sure.
Great location within minutes of downtown Austin and easy access to and from I-35.

Nothing, awful.
Dirty bathroom, rude staff, terrible service, noisy.
Don't stay here.

Clean.
The suite I chose was not at all what I expected it to be like. The room was very small and crammed.
I travel on a regular basis and always try to choose upscale rooms. This hotel room was more like a motel room. Although the facility had a good location and was clean, it was not worth the money. Next time I will most likely stay at the Whyndam.

Beautiful patio, great beds and
easy to get to and from North.
Harder to get to and from South.
Perfect location for us - between family in South Austin and fun stuff to do in North Austin. Nice help desk staff (except at night, when my kid went to get a toothbrush), good breakfast, quiet, I liked having a room at the back with an entrance off a hall rather than from the parking lot.

The first room was not clean. Electronic door keys kept deprogramming.
Upon arriving at the hotel, there was a homeless woman walking around the parking lot by the entrance to my room. I had to wait to get out of my rental car. The first room I checked into was dark, dirty, and unkempt. I asked to be moved to another room. The electronic door key for this room deprogrammed after nearly each use. I had to have it reprogrammed at least once per day. The shower was not in good repair, poor water pressure. Something had been spilled on the television and had never been cleaned. This air conditioning unit was inconsistent and would not function properly on fan setting. This hotel needs some serious upgrades. Do not judge it by the lobby and pool area. read more

The room was very comfortable, complimentary breakfast very nice.
Insufficient staffing at check in, took a long time. Restaurant was overpriced, food quality was questionable.

Easy access to the freeway and very clean.
The breakfast service was not very high quality.
The Clarion was an adequate hotel. It seemed fairly old, but clean and in good condition. It does have easy access to I-35. The staff was friendly, the room was small, we didn't try the pool.

The restaurant.
The hotel desk staff (with the exception of one individual) was not helpfull or particularily friendly.
The web site for this hotel has misinformation. We were in Austin to attend the ACL festival and made our decision to stay at the Clarion based on the fact that we would be able to walk to the festival, Zilker Park is actually over 4 miles away so we were forced to take 2 cabs (there were 5 in our group) to the festival and 2 cabs home all three days of the festival. Our cabs fares ended up exceeding $250 dollars. read more
