Location.
No views, and no natural light.

Felt like a converted prison block, because of how it was built, small windows. Being downtown, felt there could have been views.

Clean.
Small, no "comforts".

The staff was knowledgeable and unfriendly. The room was extremely small, the TV was extremely small, the bathroom was extremely small.

Location.
Rooms, beds are to small. No parking. It smell horrible.

Rooms are too small, beds are small and uncomfortable. Throughout my three day stay the entire floor smelled like rotten Chinese food. There is no parking, given its location the parking becomes even more of a nightmare.

Very clean and streamlined. Professional and accomodating.
Tiny rooms, cubicle like. Would have been perfect for 1 or 2 people.

Loved the location. SF business area close to Union Square and the Embarcadero. Walk friendly and very practical. Worked out well for what we needed. A place to stay, close to the event we were participating in. Friendly and accomodating staff. Very pleasant.

The suites were very cozy & well equipped with extras.
Parking problems, took too long to open gate after hours.

Excellent for business or pleasure. Many extras such as free bottled water on each floor, and access to extra blankets pillows each floor. Great coffee and tea set up downstairs lobby, Several lobby computers for use, and great lobby atmosphere.

11th floor observation deck.
Cramped space with rollaway bed.

Good location for our vacation. Close to places we could walk to. Lots of good places to eat nearby. Convenient to public transportation.

Convenient location, extremely professional, friendly staff. Restaurant located right next door.
No parking. My car got towed from a street spot. And yes, I did try to figure out the towing signs. It's impossible in SF!

Very clean, business-oriented and had an air of efficient about it. Seems like lots of business travelers who come in for one night and zip out the next morning. Not a lot of frills and the rooms not large, but it was quiet and the staff was particularly nice -- especially when we continued to need new keys issued for our room! I took my two boys into the city for an end-of-summer museum run and the hotel was just fine for us, but we didn't spend much time lounging around. And since we arrived late at night and the kids were starving, having Elephant and Castle right next door was perfect. read more
