Staff made sure we understood directions to port.

This hotel was exactly what we needed. We arrived in the early evening, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again the night before a cruise out of San Diego.

Nice lobby and breakfast bar.
Smelled like body odor and smoke.

This hotel was strange. The room itself was obviously recently remodeled and was very nice other than smelling like body odor and smoke. The bathroom however was old, small, and obviously hadn't ever been properly scrubbed. Since we were only staying one night we decided to forgo showers. They had a very nice breakfast bar with a make-your-own waffle station which was very nice. read more

I liked the little touches like nice counter tops and decor.
No grass
and so close to the street.

I liked the hotel. It was easy to find and I especially liked the free continental breakfast that gave you the option to make your own waffle.

I thought it was a dump. I was embarrassed to stay there. The front desk employees were nice.

First room offered had a strange smell but we were allowed to change rooms immediately and the second room was up to my expectations.

This hotel was an absolute dump. The room smelled like smoke, the TV and remote control were both damaged and held together with electrical tape. The shower was filthy with other peoples hair in the shower, the front desk staff when checking in was very rude.
