Comfort Inn Chandler

The room was small but that's all I need when I travel. I have stayed in other hotels in the Phoenix area which were more expensive yet I could not go for a walk at night. It was a bit of a drive to get something other than fast food to eat but it was still easy.

This hotel was friendly but I was very unhappy with our stay. I feel I paid way too much for what I received. If there was not work going on, and it was clean with a working TV it might have been different.

This hotel was convenient, right off the freeway and walking distance to a strip mall with several food choices and a Starbucks. The continental breakfast was good although the fresh fruit selection was limited to apples and oranges and the juices were clearly from concentrate. The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. Overall I would not choose to stay at this hotel again (especially if I had children) as the rooms were rather small and worst of all they stunk! Our room had obviously been a smoking room in the past and had yet to have any renovations done, every time we walked into the room it was like walking into a smoky bar. Yuck! We considered changing rooms but another guest told us that on the third floor they were overwhelmed by the paint fumes coming from the second floor (the second floor is under construction.) I am currently pregnant and we decided that the lingering smoke smell was healthier than fresh paint fumes for the baby. Very basic.

Location was easy to get to from the freeway; the staff was nice and friendly. The rooms were clean but I didn't care for the decor. I didn't use the breakfast because I slept too late.

This hotel was very nice and clean and in a great location. My only complaint was that I asked for a non-smoking room and we got a smoking room, they were nice enough to give us a can of Lysol though. I would stay here again.
