Comfort Inn Palm Beach Lakes

The room was smoking and smelt so bad that it was hard to breath. Request a room change and they would not do anything. Also the bathroom light had to be turned on and off before it would work. The ice maker on our hall was also broken. The staff was definitely not friendly or helpful.

Somehow I was booked into a smoking room. This was horrible. While staff was able to move me on the second day, they failed to express any empathy or understanding. What has happened to customer service? The power of an apology or statement of concern is lacking from most sales interactions these days and it is left to the customer to "turn on the nice" and create a positive exchange even when the circumstances are unacceptable. This hotel was filthy and gross. The staff is rude and unhelpful. I was given a smoking room and I have asthma and it took them till the next day to give me another room, below what quality I originally paid for. And I only got back 1/2 my money. Do not stay at this hotel!
