Hotel Guest Reviews of the Comfort Inn Long Island City

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Location. No parking. Bad area.

This hotel was not what I expected. It was in a bad area, there was no available parking, the desk clerk refused to allow me to stay an extra day at the rate I reserved the room for. Our room was overlooking some sort of salvage yard or trash dump. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone.

I liked the take out menu.
Depressing - the view - overlooking scrap yard and the night clerk.

The night clerk was very surly & depressing, the rooms cramped.

Great location to visit new Manhattan! easy access to the subway.
Bathroom not clean enough.

Great hotel as a place to crash. Comfy bed, tons of space and amazing location, just a two minute walk to the subway station that takes you into the heart of Manhattan.

Nothing.
Small room, no outlets, bad location, horrible view, unfriendly night staff member.

The only good thing was the fact that it was so close to the subway. That is because we had to run through the rat infested streets to the hotel. I am not exaggerating here. The hotel staff was okay except for the night manager - very rude. Rooms were tiny, and I had to unplug the TV to charge my phone as it was the only outlet in the room. Maid service was okay. Room was not safe. Steer noise came right into the room. It was like sleeping underneath the train bridge. Honestly it was the worst hotel stay I have ever had in the U.S ...read more

Good price and close to NYC.

I wanted to visit NYC without paying the price of staying in the city. I chose this hotel because it was outside the city and was much less expensive, yet I could take the subway into the city. The subway was less than a block from the hotel and only took me 9 min. to get into Manhattan. This was convenient and economical way to spend a weekend in NYC.

The location was ok, not sure about the surrounding area, but close to Metro station
Surrounding area looked like a junk yard.

The hotel was clean and the staff was pleasant. The surrounding area looked like a junk yard, but it was close to a Metro station and the people seemed friendly
