The Comfort Inn hotel is conveniently located off Highway 101 in the heart of Silicon Valley, within minutes from downtown and the San Jose International Airport. This San Jose hotel is minutes from Paramount's Great America, the San Jose Convention and Cultural Center, San Jose State University, theWinchester Mystery House and Santa Clara University. There are a variety of restaurants within walking distance. The Gecko Grill is located adjacent to the hotel and offers authentic Mexican food and a fun atmosphere. Several shops and historical downtown are also nearby. Great price, nice staff, well lit parking lot.

too many bail bonds places around.

Overall good value for price. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, nice. Only somewhat irritating thing was the fan had to always be "on" if in the bathroom (no separate switch).

Front desk staff inattentive or absent.

Nice hotel. We appreciated the cleanliness, quiet location and convenience to freeways. I would stay again, but would also investigate a few other competing chains like Double tree and Best Western.

Morning receptionist.

This hotel is not for the average business traveler. As a female traveler, it is not in a safe location for someone like myself to travel solo. The air conditioner kept cycling off and on all night. Finally at 5:00am I got up to turn it off. They didn't seem that concerned with my accommodations.

The hotel was very clean and neat. The continental breakfast was a plus.
The hotel seemed understaffed in the day time.

The hotel was very clean, and had great amenities- microwave, fridge, iron, large bathroom, cozy lobby, and elevator. The only draw back was the distance from the Convention Center and the rail. There were plenty of Mexican restaurants and a coffee house next door. The hotel staff was friendly, but obviously understaffed. They did not have enough people to meet check-in/out and breakfast needs during the day. Despite this, they were polite and professional. read more
