Too close to freeway and train tracks.

In spite of a pleasant staff and complimentary breakfast, the noise levels from the immediately adjacent freeway and train tracks make this hotel undesirable.

bit tired/untrained staff on desk/location odd & freeway behind.

All I could think was ‘why we are here’ and ‘why wasn't a business hotel available on a Saturday night?’ A restaurant two blocks away, on the beach, that the fool on duty knew nothing about? The only restaurant on the beach in downtown Ventura. We ended up driving (we're old people) doing u-turns and guessing while traffic whizzed around us.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room I received was very clean and well supplied. I was very happy with my stay.
It was all good. Just a bit tough to find if you don't have specific directions. The entrance is on a Cul De sac set back, no signs on the main street

I have stayed at several Country Inns in the past, this one included. I found the staff to be friendly, courteous and accommodating. The room was very clean, with a refrigerator, microwave, sitting area and a spacious bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. I was given some excellent suggestions for dinner and the breakfast the next morning, which was included in the price, was very nice, with a wide variety of items to choose from. If time had allowed, I would gladly have stayed another night or two. read more

Free cookies upon arrival. Free warm breakfast. Refrigerator & microwave.
Difficult parking, worn carpet, dirty elevator.

The overall hotel is somewhat tired in appearance and the rooms appear used. The carpet was torn by the bathroom entrance and there were many stains on the carpet in the room. The parking is challenging for a van, and there are only 2 handicap stalls. The counter staff was expressionless. Free happy hour beer and wine made up for the rest.

Free internet, free breakfast, and spacious rooms.
Next to Freeway, but not that big of a deal.

This is a great place to stay. Staff was friendly and all the amenities were free unlike the 3 and 4 star hotels I usually get. In the future I think I would rather stay here then a Hilton or Sheraton that nickel and dimes you for everything including parking.
