The room was very spacious. Location was excellent. Staff was super helpful.
Would have liked a less costly breakfast alternative to the buffet.

Prior the this visit the hotel was seedy, but the renovations were awesome. I was so pleased I gave this place a second chance after seeing it was renovated. The location is the best, steps to the Byward Market, University of Ottawa and a large shopping mall. It is right downtown so we could just park our car and walk every where. The hotel room was clean, spacious, and comfy. The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. Our non functioning TV remote was replaced within minutes of calling the front desk. The cooling/heating system worked perfectly. The beds had duvets and LOTS of pillows. Towels were plentiful. In room fridge and gourmet coffee maker were an added bonus. We were very pleased for our weekend visit and were certainly return next time we go to Ottawa. read more

Location, comfort for the star rating.
Found parking expensive.

Great place if you want to enjoy the market and shops of downtown Ottawa. We spent most of our time sightseeing exploring the restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. Most of our time was spent outside of the hotel but the time we did spend there was pleasant and comfortable. We also were not put out by the busy sounds of the downtown which might not suit all.

Staff made you feel valued as a customer and the experience was pleasant from beginning to end.
Pillows too hard even though there were many to choose from.

A good quality hotel situated within easy reach of many historical sights and many good restaurants. Excellent, friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere.

Typical Marriott. Could not get this price directly from Marriott on line or by phone.
Asked them to change entrance light but never did. Lighting in sink area could be brighter.

Typical Marriott. Only hotels I will stay in. Close to shopping and downtown area. Very convenient and surprisingly quiet for being in the center of the Byward Market.

Over all it looked good.
Hairs all over bathroom floor.

Staff didn't seem to want to be there and didn't make me feel very welcomed. The bathroom was not cleaned, many different hairs on floor. Our room was first room by elevator and very noisy.
