I went to the pool on the hotel and had a cockroach swimming next to me. Luckily it did not touch me. There is nice people working at the hotel but some of them at the front desk need a clue when dealing with other peoples money.

I wish the pool wasn’t so chlorinated. It made all my kids’ eyes very red and the smell was very strong

Decent hotel, pool area needed cleaning, staff friendly. Found a bug in the bathroom and one on the bed.

The view is AMAZING. The location is GREAT!
The restaurant was terrible. Everything was just a bit shabby.

I would not consider myself a hotel-snob, however, I do like things to at least appear clean - especially when traveling with my two toddlers who spend a lot of time playing on the floors and climbing into chairs, etc. The Courtyard was not super clean. The carpet, upholstery, bedding, and curtains just seemed a bit dingy. I'm just it's hard to keep a beach hotel sparkle clean with all the sand and salt water. But still, the average room rate should help with the upkeep. The restaurant was terrible! I ordered a club sandwich (it had lots of fatty bits on the meat and the bacon was totally burnt) and chicken fingers (way more breading that chicken and so greasy - worse than fast food) for my kids. The kids didn't even like the chicken fingers! And it cost my $30! The location and view are what this hotel has to offer. Full ocean views (although it was near-impossible to open our sliding door to the balcony. I guess too much salty air?) and right on the boardwalk. There's nothing like getting up first thing in the morning and taking a walk on the beach. read more
