Hotel Guest Reviews of the Crowne Plaza Bratislava
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 6, 2013

Despite the amazing location, beautiful decoration and modern, spacious environment, the hotel experience was disturbing. The restaurants and bars are constantly empty, the pianos in the piano bar have not been used in years, and there is no atmosphere of joy, friendly busy meeting point. The bars and restaurants, usually an intergraded business unit of a hotel, remained empty simply because prices for a single bottle of water exceed price levels in Tokyo or New York at the top end hotels. The staff has not been trained to serve! You quickly realize that you are an inconvenience to the staff. The bill for beverages and soup will shock you! This Crowne Plaza has prices of a Ritz Carlton in London and does not represent the pricing or training standards of a Crown Plaza. It prides itself to be the best hotel in Bratislava, carries the price tag of a high end establishment but does not have the appropriate staff eager to demonstrate its service orientation to create an experience and make you enjoy the stay. The hotel is simply overpriced, especially for basic products such as water, wine or soup leaving the restaurants empty. The slow and unmotivated employees have outweighed the positives: strong location, beautiful decoration and exceptional levels of cleanliness. The hotel, even though beautiful, is only two blocks away from shameful, dilapidated infrastructure. The overall experience could have been easily rectified: lower the prices for food and drinks and you get business in. Beware of eating a spicy Mexican soup and then become thirsty! It might become an expensive experience since water does not come free with the meal. ...
