Centrally located; heart of everything; and walk to many shops.
Nothing not to like! All above average! Close to everything.
Clean & modern; easy access & entry; many shops well within walking distance! Main street one block away! Quite & roomy. Many amenities. Will stay there again - tremendous value!

Great restaurant, good prices.
Needs to be updated, esp. in bathroom. WIFI needed.
I expected the Crowne Plaza to be a 5 star hotel, but it wasn't close: one of the staff members was downright rude to me when I asked a simple question; bags were not allowed to be brought up by clients )the staff had to bring them up so that they could get their tip); the broadband was painfully slow, although there was wi-fi (but also slow). Overall, it was OK, but certainly not 5 star or even 4 star. read more

The room decor was spacious, elegant and quiet.
The reception agent was new and slow. She gave me the wrong information about the taxi to the airport.
Easy access to downtown. Very pleasant upscale facility.

It had a beautiful view.
The food was sub-par.
All in all, and excellent place to stay in Auckland.

Great location, comfy bed.
Hotel booked rental car, car didn't arrive, had to jump few hoops.
The hotel is perfectly located in Auckland, close to Sky Tower and close to the harbor. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The toiletries are nice also. Small issue with the concierge regarding a rental car not showing up was ultimately resolved by taking taxi to rental facility paid for by Rental company.

Very nice room.
No pool, restaurant was over priced for the food.

Clean, New and Large size room with all amenities, and centrally located.
It was summer time in Auckland when we traveled and the air conditioning in the rooms were not cool enough and was centrally controlled by the hotel.
We had booked 2 rooms for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, as the hotel rooms in most foreign countries are quite small. However, we were very surprised to see such spacious room with large windows and ample room for luggage and even an extra bed. The facility was very new. The beds were comfortable. The rooms had all the required basic amenities. The hotel is located in a very central place close to many city's attractions, restaurants and shops, all in walking distance. The hotel even had a large laundry room with complimentary detergent. This helped us after a 2 week cruise vacation, where we could not do any laundry at all. The hotel also had a friendly staff and lots of information on sight seeing and tours. We will definitely stay at this hotel, when we visit Auckland again! read more

Concierge service and staff was exceptional.
Rooms could have been a little nicer.
Location is pretty good; plenty of places to eat nearby and it's just a short walk to Sky Tower. The rooms overall aren't bad, but I've stayed in other Crowne Plazas that had nicer rooms (such as Sydney). I'd classify these as a notch above average. But what I really enjoyed at this hotel was the service: concierge was excellent and helped us with everything we needed quickly, enthusiastically, and professionally. They did the usual tasks like booking tours, but also did things like dropped off our rental car for us and provided us with an American 110-volt adapter to charge our electronics' batteries (something a lot of other hotels couldn't provide, and their adapter was nicer than one we used at a five-star hotel later in the trip). Overall, a great experience and would recommend. read more

Nice location, good size gym, nice view from room.
Need free internet in room and business center, better elevator access to gym and business center.
Although it strays a bit far from Auckland¿s gorgeous harbor, this hotel lies hard by the central downtown shopping district; I loved that I could walk to the very hip high street shops in less than five minutes. Fine dining, the sky tower, the ballet, the civic theatre -- you can get to all of these within a 10-minute stroll. The staff is friendly, but the rooms, although spacious, look a bit shabby, and the pillows seem rather cheap for such a grand facility. read more
