Crowne Plaza Hotel Coogee Beach, Sydney

Nice facility. I booked a city view room and they upgraded me to an ocean view room without my even asking. Concierge very friendly and helpful. Has free internet service in their business center which is very helpful given the $30 per day rate in most Australian hotels.

The hotel was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was right accross the street from a fantastic beach. It was easy to get around Sydney by bus, the stop was right at the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and the Ocean Bar food was the best and the staff was very friendly.

The only drawback with this hotel which was quite a big one is that they described my room as 'beach view' when the only beach view was from the balcony. Fortunately they found another room but it was a close thing and I arrived late at night so it would have been difficult to find a room elsewhere.

We found the Crowne Plaza Coo gee Beach to be quite nice. Its location was perfect: near the beach and many eateries on adjacent streets, and away from the hustle of downtown Sydney. The rooms were recently refurbished, although this consisted mostly of new carpet and fresh paint. The staff was very nice and helpful. Our only issue was the cockroach in the bathroom in the middle of the night. I know it's tough to keep pests out of a large hotel, but this was the first time I've ever seen a cockroach in my travels. read more

Location was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms (especially the carpet) could have been a little tidier.

It was OK, my husband and I were placed in a room with 2 double beds instead of one king. The concierge never answered his line, but the hotel staff were very nice and helpful. However, we came back from a day of shopping at 4:45 one afternoon and they were just cleaning our room (seems a little late in the day). Also, it looked like they were washing the glasses we had used in the bathroom sink (yuck!). I just expect a little more from a Crowne Plaza. read more
