Crowne Plaza Hotel Jacksonville-Riverfront

This hotel was nice, but did not meet my expectations of a 3 1/2 star hotel. There was no way to have a late night meal or beverage, because everything was closed by 11:00 pm on a Saturday night. However, the beds were comfortable.

The hotel was great the staff was great. The restaurant was poor the service was poor. We got a free coupon from the hotel for breakfast and the restaurant charged are room for the breakfast. The steakhouse food was great, but very expensive.

The hotel is nice, however, when we arrived and parked in the handicapped parking space, the Bellman was on the cell phone with his back turned; did not ask if we needed help; he did not notice we were even there. The female desk clerk was friendly and recognized our presence when we walked in. The atmosphere was not one that indicates welcome to the Crowne Plaza. The coffee cup in our room still had coffee in it; was dirty, but yet covered as though ready for use. Room service staff was wonderful as were the am desk clerks. The bed or box spring was quite noisy when we either sat on the bed or retired for the evening. Our server in the All American restaurant was great and very attentive. The manager took time to visit our table to ensure all was well with their service. The young lady who bussed the table, placed the linen-rolled silverware on the seat while changing the table cloth, which we thought was unsanitary because people sat on the chair; the wrapped silver should have been placed on a tray, etc. read more

The hotel was conveniently located to the landing and the stadium. It was very clean inside and the staff was very helpful. The room was small and not located on the river front, but it was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.

The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. We have stayed here before and will stay here again in the future!.

Nice downtown location, water taxi was fun and convenient. Balcony overlooking the water was nice.
