The fireplace in the lobby was very pretty.
Old dirty fire doors between buildings.

Its okay but I would not stay there again.

Rooms were nicely decorated with comfortable beds.
Had to walk a long way down 2 long halls with our luggage. No bell hop available.

has a nice presentation. The front desk staff are nice and friendly. The concierge assisted with directions over the phone since this is a really tricky hotel to find. Not in the best location but nicely hidden down a long wooded road. Some of the other staff are not as polished. The waiter we had for dinner at the dining room with the large fireplace was very young and seemed inexperienced. The service was very poor. Otherwise, we enjoyed our room and slept comfortably. read more

Old hotel, elevator, fridge, decor, and not in downtown.

This hotel was bought as a downtown hotel even it is definitely not in downtown! Without a car you can't reach downtown on foot. The hotel itself is a former Holiday Inn which has been upgraded by IC Hotels to Crowne Plaza Resort. Except the lobby area and a restaurant with open fire place. Everything of our room was old, dated and worn except the recently renovated bathroom (partly). Old carpets, old elevator, old doors, dirty balcony (water from AC) etc. Definitely not a 3 star hotel. read more

Convenient to downtown but with plenty of green space around it. Loved the wine and cheese when we checked in!
The refrigerator in our room did not work.

Generally, we really liked the hotel. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel was generally clean, but you could tell it was a bit older. However, the hotel seems to be doing a good bit of upgrading right now.

Staff was very friendly and willing to accomodate requests.
Difficult to find albeit easy to get to once you know where it is.

Had just a little trouble finding the location as Google maps was"confused. After calling hotel I drove straight to it. Front desk staff was extremely friendly to the point of showing me locations of possible rooms and letting me choose which one I preferred. Room was clean and well appointed except for a dated TV. Met all of my expectations for my trip.

The hotel was a golf and tennis resort with the worst golf course I have ever played - The tennis facilities were excellent.

It was quiet; view was nice.
Difficult location (re Asheville); recreational facilities were spread far apart.

It was "ok" but nothing special. The only way I'd stay there again would be if I were looking for a golf or tennis vacation. Pool was small, certainly not large enough for much activity or the scale of this hotel.

Lovely beds.
Terrible location.

There has to be a better way to get there than following tiny signs through parking lots as if it were a treasure hunt. At the very least, the website needs to provide something better than map quest's wrong directions, and let the traveler know it's going to be insanely difficult to find this place.
