The hotel is romantic, cozy restaurant, covered eating areas, large swimming pool area, in an old historic downtown area.

The staff was very friendly.
We had to pay a daily fee for the pool and water. It was not optional.
The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly. The location is good and there are food places within walking distance.

The Sunday brunch buffet was excellent. Very nice and helpful staff.
No microwave in the room. We had hoped to have popcorn.
We had an excellent time. Although staying for only one night was just not enough for us, it did provide a wonderful change of pace from our "normal" lives. I have already recommended this resort to several friends.

I really liked the young man who checked us in and told us about the history of the motel. I enjoyed the large swimming pool and Jacuzzi.
I found the housekeeping staff to not appear happy with their jobs/Jacuzzi was not real warm.
It is a hotel with a lot of history. The grounds are very beautiful as is the poolside. We liked the spaciousness of the rooms.

Liked the historic aspect.
Service was terrible, front desk unavailable, disorganized.
I was disappointed. The hotel seemed to have so much potential. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms nice, but the other amenities were less than acceptable in the room. The front desk would never answer the phone when we tried to reach them for extra pillows for the pull-out couch or ask about hotel services. We bought breakfast vouchers and were told we could use them from 6:00am to 11:00am. When we arrived at the restaurant at 9:00am we were turned away. We ended up at McDonald¿s drive-thru. After our "wonderful" breakfast we hurried back to the hotel to swim before check-out to find the pool "temporarily" closed. Not impressed at all with the expected level of service for a hotel of this caliber and star rating. read more

Hotel room was very clean, comfortable, and pool was very nice. Staff was helpful.
Stayed in casita room the first night which smelled like smoke.
Hotel seems to be family oriented. Stayed in casita room the first night that was rundown and smelled like smoke. Moved to room in main hotel that was very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Kids loved the pool. Public areas were well maintained, and there was plenty of parking. Could use another computer in the business center, although there was never anyone using the facility when I needed to go online. read more

The front desk staff changed rooms when some were found unsuitable with a smile and kind words.
Most rooms were pretty far from the lobby/restaurant.
The terrific staff really makes a stay here work. We were part of a large bridal party on new year's eve/day. Everyone was unfailingly polite and friendly.

Everything.
Would like a bigger bathroom.
This is a first. Customer service is alive and well at this hotel. I appreciated this hotel, although an older hotel, they more than make up for it. The casitas are the nicest.

Staff was friendly.
Great Dane dogs everywhere. Gross.
We didn't knew that there was a dog show taking place at this hotel. There were huge great Dane dogs everywhere. It was the worse experience ever in a hotel. We couldn't even stay due to my two young kids scared to death of the huge dogs not to mention the gross smell.
