Crowne Plaza San Antonio Riverwalk

Pulled into the self-park lot and was met by a passed out person in front of the parking garage elevator. Found out we'd be paying $23 a day for parking only to have to walk about 2 blocks (underground) to our hotel (with luggage). Hallways are ugly and dated. Had 8 people partying in the room next to us. Had a view of an inner-city Greyhound bus station. No snacks available in hotel, only beverage machines that didn't take dollar bills. The hotel staff seemed overworked with not enough help, but the staff was friendly and helpful when they could. I loved the pool and whirlpool area, but I feel that this area closes to early for late night swimming. I did not get a chance to use the gym and sauna area, but it looked great to me.

Fairly convenient to the Riverwalk and easy access to I-10 and I-35.

When staying here you are not paying for your room you are paying for a fancy lobby. The rooms were small and freezing. Our thermostat was stuck on 60 and we couldn't shut it off. Parking is overrated.

Off the beaten path but still on the river. This hotel is right on a branch of the River Walk but away from the bustle of the main loop. All of the downtown attractions are in easy walking distance and self parking on the weekends (open lot with pay box) is easy and cheap $3 in and out. The rooms and common areas were clean. The common areas were very upscale looking. The restaurant has a $15 breakfast and on discount was offered making it not too family friendly in that regard. The staff was friendly and helpful, but amateurish. They said they would take the movie off our bill but did not do so. Overall our stay turned out well. read more

Nice hotel, but in poor location, did not feel safe. Additional charge of 24.00 per day for parking was unexpected.

Decent hotel for business, not recommended for families. Staff was rude. When we checked in they all kind of snickered. My fiancé told me when the bellboy was handling our bags he was singing "Country Roads". Bad area. There was an abandoned apartment complex and parking ramp across the street. Someone parked in the ramp and their car was lit on fire. I could see the whole thing from my room. Speaking of parking your daily options were: valet=30$, hotel self park 1 block away=23.50$, various unsecured no in and out lots=8$, 3$ lots which were covered with broken glass assumable from thieves. read more

Excellent hotel for the price except for the noise in the plumbing and the beds were so uncomfortable we left a day early without a refund.

Called ahead and asked for a room with two beds. Lady on the phone said ok, when we got there it wasn't available. Also my car was broken into at their $23 a night parking garage.
