It was clean and very functional.
Air conditioning was a bit noisy- in wall type unit.
Hotel was clean, nice, well located. Overall a very good experience. The only negative was the air conditioner it was a wall unit and a little noisy.

Beautiful remodel, crisp and clean interiors.
Wretched noisy HVAC system, inconsistent housekeeping.
This Crowne Plaza clearly underwent a recent renovation, as everything is spotless and crisp in a modern style. (Perhaps a style that will be in the future what the 70s are to us now, but it looks very nice for the time being.) The big disappointment with the room was that they renovated everything except the big wall HVAC unit, which sounds like a rusty tractor every time it kicks on. The manual controls were replaced with a great auto climate system, but the unit should have been sold as WWII surplus and replaced. I could not sleep with it on, period. This hotel also tickled one of my current pet peeves: They have installed nice, flat-panel HDTV screens in every room - connected to a SDTV-only Lodge Net system, set to stretch the image horizontally so that everything looks wrong. read more

Conveniently located downtown San Jose. Excellent restaurants within walking distance.
Once again another hotel that is short of parking and jabs the guest to pay for it.
Recently remodeled it is comfortable and convenient.

I was given a room on the 9th floor, no one was above me.
There was not assistance from my vehicle to the lobby. I arrived at 11:15 pm and was a female traveling with a heavy box and my luggage.
I found the help marginal. The bathroom had stains in the shower caulking. Water pressure was weak. I asked for the best directions to the Kinko's on Santa Clara. I was given directions to a postal express on san Carlos. It was not open. I lost twenty minutes of valuable work time. Hire people who care or train the staff you have to care. This was not even close to a three star hotel as far as service and quality are concerned. read more

Their beginning much needed renovations so the hotel was noisy and dirty. Dinner at the restaurant was good, but breakfast was awful. In the flight path of SJC, so not a restful quiet hotel at all. Very expensive parking.

Very personable front desk.
The breakfast service needs to be organized for faster service, even for the buffet.
It is a nice hotel, but usually I stay up in the Mountain View area, so this was an inconvenient drive and I didn't request San Jose, so I'm not sure why I received it, except that travel was VERY heavy last week. The breakfast service was absent-minded, even for the buffet, I asked the waiter for cream for my coffee and it was another 5 minutes before it came, thereby keeping me from quaffing said beverage. This aspect of the hotel seemed out of sorts with the rest of the personnel and service I received, which I considered excellent. read more

They were friendly.
Should have a Jacuzzi.
It's ok. Parking is in the garage next door. The hallway smelled a little musty - but the room was fine albeit a bit worn/old. Bed was good - sleep cod was novel. It did not have a Jacuzzi - so I was not thrilled with the place.
