Right on the beach
You had to get towel and lounge from pool staff everyday.

the location could not be better, close to the beach and highways
the restaurant staff seem a bit racial, i guess she didn't expect people of color to come to breakfast or maybe she was having a bad morning

My wife and i enjoyed the Days Inn Thunderbird, the only hickup was the elderly ladie at the desk of the continental breakfast who didn't seem to want us there. we are a black couple (really cute couple). I think she was overcome by the amount of senior citizens that morning.

Friday morning staff was very rude and unhelpful.

The stay was good, people were friendly except Friday morning. Other than that, I enjoyed myself.

The pool and beach.
The continental breakfast.

The continental breakfast was a joke. You have to get a voucher at the front desk and present it to the waitress at the restaurant. You are told that you are entitled to one toasted bagel, one cup of coffee and one small orange juice. If I wanted to get a bowl of cereal for my small children I would have to pay for it. They would be better off not offering a continental breakfast at all. read more

The simplicity was very fresh. Also, the cafe was very pleasant. There is a wonderful lady running a salon in the hotel. So nice and convenient.
Lack of parking. Although the parking staff was great. Especially the concierge.

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay. We enjoyed breakfast each morning at the cafe by the pool. Friendly service, good food, nice beach location. Very good for the price. Oh yeah, the nice lady in the in-house salon was a great benefit.

Great location. nice view of ocean.
Charges for pool chairs.

Fair to middling hotel. Older building, did not feel clean. Nice pool and proximity to beach. Very nice staff.

Checking out.
Disgusting, noisy, unhelpful valet/security guard, did I mention it was disgusting!

8:30pm got to hotel. We reserved a king non smoking room, when we got to the room there were 2 singles and clearly was a smoking room, kids in the next room over jumping on the beds screaming and laughing, long walk back to the front desk.8:45pm they reluctantly gave us another room. As we were walking down the hallway to our room there was a man banging on the door across the hall from us yelling, "police. Open the g d damn door!" clearly he was not a police officer, and looked at us like we had the problem! After we closed the door the yelling continued. I was ready to check out and sleep in my car. 9:00pm we went back to the front desk to change rooms yet again. And told him this was unacceptable. They half apologized and offered us the "penthouse" where there would be no other noisy guests around us. 9:15pm the room was big I will give them that, I did sleep in my clothes cause the bed looked gross and would not have used the shower even if a hazmat team came in to clean it first! I wonder who had died in that tub! 6:00are next day, we went to check out, our car battery was dead and the valet refused to give us a jump! What a lovely place, all the character and charm of the bates motel only dirtier! I will never ever stay or recommend that hotel ever. read more

The Hotel was on the beach, balcony overlooked the beach.
The rooms were just ordinary and needed some refreshing overall. They had a lot of extra charges( Parking, use of loungers).

Overall my stay was OK. There was no water pressure in the shower. The room needed some fixing up. I saw they were remodeling some rooms on my floor. At the Reception desk everyone was pleasant, and very helpful. The maids were pleasant.

I liked that it was on the beach.
They gave us the wrong room and my 2 year old did not get free breakfast but my spouse and I did.

Overall it was OK, but I was supposed to have a king bed and I got 2 full sized beds instead. I also didn't like that my husband and I had the free continental breakfast but I had to pay for my 2 year old to have breakfast. But, it was on the beach so that was a plus!
