Chairmans Award Property The Days Inn Albany SUNY is a fully renovated property featuring brand new guestrooms to fit all your needs. Your stay includes a Daybreak Breakfast each morning, Free High Speed Internet Access, access to our Fitness Center, and HBO. We are directly across from SUNY Albany and in walking distance from the University State Office Complex, Averill Harrimon Office Complex. We are a short drive from the Center for Environmental Sciences and Technology Management CESTMA. We are a short 20 minute drive from the Saratoga Harness Racing Track and Racino. Dining Options from all sorts of Cuisine's are within walking distance or few minute drive. Pets allowed, 20.00 USD per pet, per room, per night. Hallways were dirty & reeked of smoke.

Although the room itself seemed clean enough, the general atmosphere of the hotel was somewhat unsavory (except for breakfast room which was simple but pleasant). Sound insulation was poor.

The staff was really friendly and helpful.
The stand up shower - I would have preferred a full tub instead.

Three cheers to the staff, especially the night manager. I returned from a night out downtown at 4 am, and was starving. The manager kindly called a few different delivery places for me to see if they were open. In the end, nothing was open so he brought me a bagel from the hotel kitchen which was closed for another 2 hours. The whole time, he was very friendly and remarkably nice. For this reason, I would recommend this hotel to any budget traveler looking for a place to stay in Albany. read more

It was very clean and convenient to major roadways.
We were given a smoking room. While it is not a guarantee, we have never had this problem w/priceline.

Second night of stay, fire alarm went off in middle of night. When I called the front desk, the clerk said "I can't talk now, I have to call the emergency equipment". There was a small fire which started in a dryer. We were never informed what was going on. I think they should have evacuated the bldg. and kept us informed. Very unsafe situation. I was very upset as was my 8 year old daughter. read more

For the money, a nice hotel except for the very bad smell of cigarettes in the hallways, the smell did not effect the rooms too much luckily.
