Days Inn Lakewood

The walls, floor, and bathroom were dirty. The mirror was hung crooked on the wall. The shower rod was half ripped out. The plumbing for the shower was loose in the wall. Shower surround was broken. I don't even want to think about on the bathroom walls. The vanity was dirty. TV reception was as bad as it could be. It sounded like a woman was being beaten in the next room. I called the front desk and they came up to the room. They never even had the people open the door. They just knocked on the door and told them to keep the noise down because people were complaining. Great for a short stay.

I have medication that requires refrigeration & when I checked in I asked about the rooms since the photos showed refrigerators. I was told that only 4 rooms do but I could keep medicines in frig beside area ice chest because it was kept locked at all times. Each time I went there it was never locked and no one asked me what I was doing. At least my medicines are sealed single dose so I know that they were no tampered with but since the initial conversation was held with people just hanging out in the lobby, I have to say that I was happy to have it when I left. The lobby was very small with no gathering area. The rooms are overdue for remodeling. If those two issues were addressed, this would be a great hotel for business or leisure.

The staff is friendly and efficient. The continental breakfast and location were great. I would stay there again.

I was expecting better. My wife was turned off by security issues and the room didn't seem clean. Pillows were weak.

The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was fresh. It had cereal, bagels, donuts fruit and juices. The room was spacious and clean. It is five minutes to downtown, westside neighborhoods and the interstate and is within a 5 minute walking distance of the lake, restaurants, clubs, grocery, etc.

This is the second time we have stayed at this Days Inn and both times we have had a good experience. The rooms are clean and kept up. The staff that we had interactions with were great. He had us laughing from the moment we walked in the door and she has a wonderful personality and remembered us and our room. The housekeeping staff is very friendly also. There is a good selection at the breakfast bar..fruit,cereal, dough nuts, pastries, bagels, oatmeal, coffee, juice. If your looking for a cheaper hotel in a great location that is clean and friendly than this is it. read more
