Days Inn Mount Vernon

This hotel was just fine for the amount of time we were there basically we got in late slept and left early.

The hotel was clean and well located around support facilities such as gas stations and restaurants, there was even a movie theater within 1/2 mile. The staff was courteous and helpful.

Overall, it was a nice hotel for the price. The only down side was very limited selection for breakfast.

I thought the location was great. Everything I needed seemed to be right around the corner. I did not like how small the room was. I booked a reservation for 2 queen beds and received 2 full beds. We had 4 people in the room and each day had only 3 towels and 2 rags after telling them there were 4 people in the room. The floor we stayed on was non smoking yet it smelled like smoke. The continental breakfast was cereal, dough nuts and bagels, which is not what I expected. Overall, it was a very poor experience. The hotel was clean. But a bit run down.

The room was large and comfortable. The bath area was clean and tidy with enough linens. However, the breakfast area was small and had little to offer even at 7:00am. The lobby had a flat screen
TV with several easy chairs if you wanted to sit there and watch plus there was a computer terminal. There was easy access from I-57 with plenty of restaurants nearby.

They allowed pets and I am not sure I would have chose that hotel if I had known there were going to be dogs walking around the lobby while I was eating breakfast. I did love the fact that there were 4 pillows on each bed though. Kudos to that one Days Inn.

Clean, good value hotel, continental breakfast only fair, with a slow, single 2 slot toaster.
