Domina Inn Ilmarine Tallinn

This hotel is a prime example of 'adaptive reuse' of an existing/historic building. It is located near to the ferry piers/port and extremely convenient to Old Town. The area is undergoing a bit of 'gentrification' which can be a good thing. The staff is extremely pleasant and well informed. Breakfast is typical Eastern European fare. Only thing I thought not much choice was same every day; we stayed 3 nights split into 2 different stays. First was upon arrival for one night; room was fine but faced construction next door. So was a bit noisy but didn't complain as we were checking out next day anyhow. Upon our return/check in for 2 nights I mentioned to the front desk manager about the construction and requested a different facing room and he upgraded us to a suite which was actually with a loft and spacious bathroom. Our friends also checked in for one night only and I mentioned it was their wedding anniversary and the manager gave them a most spacious and lovely room with a queen size bed and sitting area! I will certainly stay here again and of course recommend it to anyone. There does seem to be a fair amount of tours that stay here but they are gone most of the day so it doesn't really matter.
