The hotel was excellent. They greeted us with a free cookies, it was the best cookie I have ever tasted. The staff as well as the rooms were really nice.

very convenienet to cruise line-which we were ther for
we did not get the room we asked for the second time we stayed there

we did encounter one problem with our stay. we booked a queen room with a murphy bed for two couples the day before we cruised which we got and found it very nice for what we intended it for. we made sure we had the same type room for when we returned, which was already booked through priceline. upon our return to the hotel after our cruise we were informed that there were no rooms left with a murphy bed. we did get a room with a queen and they did give us 2 air mattresses but we were disappointed especially since we were assured of our reservation before we cruised. this is the only negative thing we have to say. otherwise our stay was perfect. read more

This hotel is across the street from a 24 hour grocery store.
Parking was $15 a night.

I would recommend this to a couple who aren't rich but wants to stay at a nice hotel. It sits in a local spot for taxi service or rent a car. It is not near old SanJaun but it has good nightlife two blocks away.

The staff was very courteous and friendly and made us feel very welcome. I liked the overall design in the bedrooms and loved the hotel look.

I loved everything especially the staff. I've stayed in more luxurious hotels before but the staff was never so marvelous like that of the Doubletree of San Juan.

Everything was new - opened in mid Dec 2008 after being totally refurbished.
Smokers are allowed to lounge directly in front of main entrance.

This hotel was recently refurbished. It is beautiful: great pubic spaces with plants and furnishings. The grounds are lush and perfectly maintained. It is under new management and they are doing a great job. Everyone who worked at the hotel wore a smile and asked how they could help.
