It was spacious and comfortable with lots of room in the kitchen, bath and living room.
The Doubletree is a great hotel for travelers of any reason. It is spacious and gives you lots of room for spreading out and relaxing. The kitchenette was a welcome addition.

Huge room and friendly staff.
Sink broken and handle to TV center was broken.
Pretty nice hotel for the money. Very friendly and informative staff. Rooms are very big with a living room and full kitchen. Had the bad luck of the sink being messed up and a handle to the TV center being broken. But all in all, a nice place to stay. Good for visiting parents at UT or business types!

The employees sterling friendly to a fault.
There is no guest lounge with TV, Wi-Fi, coffee have to pay more for every tricking thing outside the room and the internet was extra too.
It is as good as you can get in downtown Austin. Very nice, not posh but excellent. However, beyond the room price everything is extra pay. No guest lounge, no lobby coffee, its all a push to pay pay pay for extras. That for what could be a five star hotel is very annoying. Corporate needs to update their pricing policy for amenities such as internet service to rooms for instance. Even Motel Six has free Wi-Fi internet, otherwise a class hotel. It would be easy to make this into a five star hotel but until corporate gets the contemporary innkeeper style it is stuck between three and four stars. Stop sticking it to your guests. The employee attitude is wonderful and the spaces are clean. read more
