Close to beach, clean.
Charge for parking.

The hotel was decent and clean. Just across the street from the beach. I thought it was ridiculous that they charged me an additional $22/day just to park in the hotel garage.

Of the two women who checked us in, one was particularly nice and helpful. The cookies are always a plus!
The public spaces were very cold and uncomfortable. The parking fee of $22 is ridiculous.

The room and beds were very comfortable, which provided a good night's sleep. The lobby and public spaces are very cold in appearance and temperature, which makes them uninviting. Also, I was a little annoyed at the $22/night parking fee. It seemed a bit high. This is all somewhat compensated for by the friendly staff, the evening entertainment, and the famous warm cookies upon check-in.

Walking distance location to beach.
Room had view of wall, asked for 2 queens got king.

We arrived early (before check in time). They told me to call at 1pm to see if room could be ready. After lunch I called and before I could finish asking if my room was ready she already said no, no rooms ready check in time at 4. OK went for a ride and walked on the beach. After check in went to room, unless you have ocean view your most likely looking at the wall without a balcony. The service and people are pretty nice there, and my only complaint is that I had to walk through a camp ground to get to the beach. Not my exact idea of an upscale hotel. Overall not a bad place. Most likely wont be back for the price they expect. read more

The room was cushy - well furnished and comfortable. The Wolfgang Puck coffee maker is awesome!
$22 extra fee for parking.

The room was extremely comfortable, and my mom and I both slept very well there. We felt like it was a treat and a mini vacation while at the Doubletree. The staff was all friendly and helpful and everything went smoothly. The location is between major roadways and the train tracks, but we weren't bothered by noise. Too bad Doheny Beach isn't kept cleaner. We drove to Aliso Beach and Capistrano Beach instead. read more

Very nice and very clean.
Road work was making it hard to get to.

It was located very close to our friend and to the beach. May by I will go back in the near time.

Nice that it was close to the beach, suites are nice.
$22 per night to park, horrible view, no DVD player, annoying remote, and fire alarm went off all night.

Nice hotel, close to the beach. Did not like crowded atmosphere, small pool, valet parking only for $22 per night! Fire alarm went of through-out the night so I didn't even get a good night's rest. After spending a tired day at the beach, I just wanted to soak in the tub - but the bathtub stopper did not function so I couldn't even take a bath! I couldn't wait to go home to relax. read more

Comfortable bed, clean and airy.
Restaurant food a bit too fancy, parking charge!

There is $20/day parking charge which seemed a bit much considering there wasn't much nearby. Other than those things, hotel is wonderful. Beds were comfortable, nice updated bathrooms.

The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were spacious. The decor was bright and happy. I really enjoyed the Jacuzzi. The valet was excellent.
It smelled like cigarette smoke in the halls and we were in a non-smoking section. Front desk clerk was a bit stand-offish.

The hotel was very cozy. A great option for a quiet weekend away.

Walk to the beach!
There was a $20 charge for parking that no one told me about until I checked out.

Nice hotel. Great beach location but all I got was a view of the parking lot. Friendly staff, good restaurant's), and easy beach access.

The bed/bedding.
The bathroom is too small for the room.

I enjoyed staying at the doubletree.
