Very convenient to the airport; nice complimentary breakfast.
Dated, dark, cold pool, external doors, hallways/elevators dirty/dingy.
Overall this is a good hotel for a man traveling on business or a family that needs to be near the airport. The staff is great - very friendly, particularly in the restaurant where they went out of their way for our kids - but the hotel suffers because of the design (lots of concrete, external doors, dark/bad elevators, strange layout) that make it feel unsafe, even though we had no security issues. Though our room was clean, it was in need of updating, esp. the bathroom, and the pullout bed was horrid - totally uncomfortable for our kids and one dirty thin blanket. The hallways/elevators need TLC; soiled linens were piled outside the elevator as were two cases of empty beer bottles when we arrived with two kids and a previous stay at the JW Marriott in Phoenix (with two lovely beds, great pools, etc. etc.) for only $20 more, this was definitely a disappointment. read more

The chocolate cookies and free breakfast.
It was more crowded on this holiday weekend.
We love this hotel. If we can stay here we do. Affordable, nice, 1 mile from the airport, they give you warm chocolate cookies and offer a free hot buffet breakfast. A really good choice, especially if you're flying out of Sky Harbor Airport.

Spacious, clean comfortable bed, safe location, ironing board & iron, microwave, and the view.
The sofa bed when opened up, it had a big stain. I think they should of replaced it.
The hotel was very nice, spacious, nice comfortable bed, I would stay there again, very affordable prices. The staff was very friendly, and the chocolate chip cookies were delicious!

Proximity was great for what I needed. Clean, great amenities.
Can't think of anything.
It was a great hotel I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. I hope to stay there again some day.

Hotel staff was very helpful in getting us directions around town, and finding dining that met our limited dietary requirements.
Although it was close to the airport, it was not really close to most of the places we were visiting.
Overall our experience of the doubletree was very pleasant. The staff was quite friendly and my children loved having their own room and TV. The amenities were great, too!

Endlessly friendly staff, warm pool for winter swimming, comfy rooms, free full breakfast.
Humid rooms that could only be ventilated by opening door.
Family-friendly hotel with an endlessly friendly staff. The suites are very comfortable for a family of four. Full breakfast was an excellent way to start the day. The kids loved the pool, which wasn't the least bit cold in late December. This was our second stay at this hotel and it has remained our favorite because of the roomy suites and the great staff.

The mini-fridge and microwave were great for a family with young children.
The ice machine on our floor was broken.
The room was very clean. The front desk was very helpful in locating places in the Phoenix area. The central location was nice because everything was close.
