Nice size rooms, clean, great staff, and a great location.
They gave us a handicap room - didn't like layout or shower.

First room we had smelled, so we had to change rooms. The second room they gave us was not very clean, and it had cigarette butts all over the patio. The parking was confusing. The staff seemed unhappy; especially the guy serving coffee at the Starbucks counter. The pool was okay, but the spa temp was set way too high. I had to lower the temp myself. The furniture needs cleaning, and the pool at hotel just seemed a bit run-down and poorly maintained. read more

Wonderful having two living spaces since we have kids.
View of the homeless shelter!
Spacious room with separate living area with fold out couch which was great for the kids. Large bathroom with nice toiletries.

The location, the free internet that worked well.
The pool wasn't cleaned right away in the AM, one of the days.
I travel all the time for business in much more expensive hotels located very close to this one. This hotel not only provided a better experience (no pool scene, no drunk beautiful people to wade through every night, no pricey internet that only half worked,) but also a better night sleep due to the quality of the linens and beds. All this, and a warm chocolate chip cookie every time my little boy asked (once a day was all I'd allow, but still! read more

Great pool, nice gym, great rooms and friendly staff.
Did not like having to pay $18 per day for parking.
Hotel met expectations. It is a nice hotel that I would recommend. As I mentioned my biggest complaint was the $18 per day fee for parking.

The cookies are amazing!
I did not like that they gave us a room that was considered a suite and it only had one bed. They said the pull out bed would work for the kids.
Great location and great amenities. Staff was ok not all that helpful in making recommendations but it was clean and nice overall. Great gym and pool facilities although they needed to replenish towels in the evening there were none left for the jacuzzi!

The parking access system did not work for me.
Great for my business trip. Plenty of room to work in my room, close to freeway, very quiet and close to ocean.

Water pressure was low.
Enjoyed our one night stay there. Were plenty of room for a family of 4. Kids enjoyed pool and hot tub.

Thin walls, traffic noise easily heard.
Not as close to the Pier as Holiday Inn but nice accomodations nevertheless. I had just stayed at the Doubletree in Santa Ana near the John Wayne airport and I could not hear the planes taking off or landing, yet at this hotel I could easily hear the street noise. If you're a light-sleeper, you'll want to bring ear plugs.

Very comfortable and spacious rooms. My daughter just loves to run around in there.
A bit of a walk to the shopping/attractions area. Has to pass a couple of major streets -- not so condusive for parents with kids.
