Convenience.
I preferred the older decor - the new modern seems a bit cold for our liking and made uncomfortable lobby sitting and visiting.

Restaurant on the property quiet room.
You had to pay 10.00 a day to park in the hotel parking lot.
Very disappointed that we had to Pay 10.00 a day to park in their parking lot. Hotel was very nice, elevator was very slow, we were up 10 floors, took forever, escalator very noisey in the restaurant.

Attractive, clean and comfortable beds.
Paying ten dollars per night for parking.
Receptionist very friendly and the bonus of two warm chocolate chip cookies! Rooms very attractive, good view of Sandia Mountains and we would happily stay at Doubletree again.

Bellman, chef, the manager on desk on 7/08.
The rude manager on desk 7/08.
Doubletree had no coffee in our room, curdled cream (still no coffee), no valet parking (unbeknownst to us. The bellman took our things up to the two rooms, my husband told the group at the bell desk, I left the keys in the car and one of the group said thanks. 3 1/2 hours later we discovered our car, engine going, door open outside. The manager on desk got mad at us!

They put us in a room with a wonderful view of the Sandia mountains.
There was a $10 per day parking fee that was not disclosed.
This hotel was undergoing major renovations. The rooms had been redone and were very nice, but they were redoing the lobby (putting in new tile flooring) which made coming and going somewhat difficult. Also there was some construction noise, even on the 8th floor. The air conditioner was very noisy - and the windows did not open, which required the air to be on at almost all times. Location was convenient - staff very friendly and helpful. read more

Courteousness of staff.
I found nothing wrong with this hotel.
From the time we arrived, we couldn't have been more pleased. The hotel more than surpassed our expectations. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating, the cleanliness, overall, was exceptional, even though they were renovating in some areas. If we ever get back to Albuquerque, we will definitely stay at the doubletree again.
