Very clean, and a accommodating hotel. Hotel staff upgraded our room without asking at arrival.

This was a great place to stay, especially with the Priceline Price!

I stayed for the weekend at the Doubletree Hotel and Conference Center in Skokie, IL as I was able to find a good price on Priceline.com. I did not expect this hotel to be as nice and fully equipped as it was. The lobby was very attractive, the staff were extremely kind and pleasant (the complimentary cookies were a nice bonus!), and the room very nice looking and comfortable! We used the pool and the area was very nice. Even had an outdoor patio to lay out in the sun on a couch. All in all, I can't believe the value I received for the price. Overall, the hotel was great. The staff was nice and accommodating from the start. There was plenty of free parking which is nice for a Chicago area hotel. There were lots, lots of restaurants, shopping in the area and it did not seem to be a bad neighborhood. The beds and pillows were awesome (very overstuffed and comfortable). Also, for the first time in my life, this hotel had reliable, free, high speed Internet wired and wireless. No funny codes needed to activate it or anything. The pool was nice, kinda small, but it is an indoor/outdoor pool. Exercise room was typical, couple of treadmills, elliptical, weights, spin bike, etc. I traveled with two kids (2 and 3 1/2 years) and they did good. Two things that would be nice another eating option at the hotel and a DVD player in the room. The attached restaurant had good food, but it was very pricey ($12.99 for a breakfast buffet. What is this, Vegas?) Also, the DVD player in the room, good thing I had my laptop, or I would have had a couple upset toddlers (they watch a short 15 minute show before bed!) As I said before, great hotel, super clean. If I had to recommend this hotel to anyone, it would probably first be a business traveler or a an adult couple. The trip was great with my kids, but when you walk in, it definitely says business (very nice/professional decor). It is the nicest hotel in probably a 10 mile radius. read more

I did not have any hot water to use during my first night, which was never taken care of. The second night after having a wonderful day with family and friends, I returned to find that I was locked out of my room. Upon calling the front desk, I was informed I checked out. I thought this was odd as the employee that checked me in confirmed that I was staying for 2 nights. It took nearly 30 minutes for an employee to get me into my room while my 11 month old was sleep in the stroller. The hotel staff offered no apology for their error. After entering my room, I was even more annoyed to find my room wasn't even cleaned by the hotel staff. This was bothersome as if the hotel had listed as checked out why was the room not cleaned. When checking out the hotel employee asked me about my stay and I provided her with the above mentioned comments. She explained since my room was already paid for there was nothing she could do, but offered me a free breakfast coupon. I've stayed at Double Tree hotels before and have always been satisfied, but had this been my first time at a Double Tree, I assure me and my family would never return. read more

Hotel is just okay. Location is good. Staff is friendly. Rooms and bathroom are smaller than I expected. Some of the furniture was clearly old and frayed.

Lovely accommodation, wonderful location, family friendly.

Beautiful, comfortable and clean. Exercise room was modest, but pool was very, very small. WiFi was easily accessible. Biggest disappointed was that housekeeping had to wake us up to see if anyone was still in the room, but desk staff was willing to compensate with a free lunch.
