Beautiful hotel and was very clean.
Quite a walk from Metro but trolley is available.

I loved the hotel and would return. The area is beautiful and safe. While I enjoy walking, some may find it too far from Metro however a trolley does run every 15 minutes. Spacious and clean rooms.

Our room was good for a play pen to fit in it.
Location on a busy street and valet parking only, and noise from hall was very loud (doors slamming).

Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had a room where the bathroom was around the corner, which was nice for us because we had a baby that we stuck around the corner in her playpen. The pool is outdoor on the roof, so it's closed any season but summer. I was unhappy with the valet parking only option, so we used the parking garage behind the hotel.

I so appreciated the helpfulness of the parking attendants, as I was traveling with a very disabled senior.
Limited food options.

We enjoyed our trip to DoubleTree Hotel in Bethesda Maryland. Our needs as senior citizens with some mobility problems were addressed by a helpful staff. Especially appreciated was a very safe and clean parking environment.

In a great location, easy to get to, easy to walk to places, easy to drive into the city.
There was no refrigerator or DVD player in the room.

Excellent for the price we paid. Friendly and convenient - close to a lot of wonderful restaurants and great shopping.

The front desk staff and the shuttle service.
The public restroom was filthy and layout of restroom in my room was poor.

I arrived in the pouring rain too early to check in to my room but found the front desk staff both accommodating to hold my luggage and friendly. I made use of the public main floor restroom which was below standard for the star rating of this hotel. My room was decorated nicely and in calming colors. I did request for the bedspread to be removed from my room because there was a small dirty area on it and I am particularly fussy when it comes to clean. In addition, I requested that my sheets be changed as there were a number of different marks/stains on them. I requested two marks on the bathroom floor to be cleaned. The room was large and comfortable as previously mentioned however, the door to the washroom opened inward only to the point of half open and right in the middle of the toilet. Therefore in order to use the toilet you had to go inside and close the door. For the size of this room that was very poor planning on the part of the designer. I used the business centre throughout my stay and found it to be tidy and available at all times. The internet connection was intermittent at times. The chocolate chip cookie on arrival was delicious and a welcome touch in the pouring rain. The shuttle service offered to the Metro station was fabulous and very welcome in the rain. All, in all this was a fabulous hotel where I was quite satisfied. read more

Very clean, convenient and the price was tight.
Was not aware that the hotel was charging for parking until the day we checked out - $20 per day.

Good, clean and price was right through Priceline.com.
