Doubletree Hotel Cleveland Downtown/Lakeside

Staff went out of their way to make our stay special (hot cookies at check-in, free area shuttle, always courteous and helpful). Hotel was clean.

This hotel was
OK. The hotel was completely booked for our stay, the elevators were slow we had to use stairs most of the time. In the room the bathroom were very small, and several electrical outlet were loose, my curling iron kept shutting off every time I moved it. I moved it 3 times and ended up doing my hair over the desk.

The room was very nice, as well as the hotel staff. However, the hotel is not sound proofed. We were kept up very late with noise in the hallways. Then we were up at 5:45 a.m. with loud music blaring from the tailgaters for a football game. I realize you cannot control other events, however, the hotel should have some type of sound proofing so that music playing a couple of blocks away does not sound like a radio playing in your room. I would stay here again. Very clean.

Overall I liked it very much and would tell anyone going to Cleveland to stay there.

The hotel was right on the lake; they offered a free shuttle to downtown; the surrounding neighborhood was quiet and felt safe; the staff was very friendly; and there is a full-size Starbucks in the lobby.
