Location is close to shopping, friendly staff.
We liked everything.
We arrived after at least 12 inches of snow, hotel did a great job of clearing walkways and entrances and exits. Close to shopping, possible to walk, excellent winter Christmas spent here, we enjoyed our first winter stay here. Stayed here 12 years ago in summer and found it enjoyable then too. Close to skiing as well. Newer grocery store very close, easy for road warriors with family. read more

The cookies were amazingly good!
Lobby is on the 2nd floor and no one mentioned this to me, so I was lost on 1st floor for 5 minutes!
I would highly recommend this hotel! It has everything; warm cookies, big rooms, beautiful scenery, and a wonderful staff!

Very nice rooms and prompt service when requesting extra towels in the morning.
During spring break for many public schools (including the local ones), the pool was closed for maintenance.
The Durango Doubletree is quite nice, though a bit too long a walk to the main tourist district for younger children. Its convenient to a grocery store and easily accessible. When the indoor pool was closed for maintenance during spring break, they provided free passes to the local recreation center which was a fantastic bonus, the best pool I've ever experienced.
