"Spacious" rooms "large enough for yoga practice" or "spread-out business work" comfort the claustrophobic at this "centrally located", "well-maintained" San Jose chain link; a "very nice" on-site steakhouse and "courteous staff" add value, but "surprised and annoyed" guests gripe about management "trying to make an extra buck" via various "à la carte" charges ("if I am paying for a room, parking should be free"); N.B. renovations are underway.

Opening sliders is a huge plus for me!
Charging for parking is ridiculous in San Jose.

This is the old Red Lion. Well maintained, clean rooms. Sliders that open to get fresh air. Nice hotel, better than others around the area.

The service and food in the restaurant was excellent.
I liked everything.

This hotel is really nice. The hotel staff is great. The bed is very comfortable and the pillows are perfect. To top it off they give guest the most yummy cookies!

Check-in and out was fine, cookie was good.
Don't like paying for parking and wireless!

Great hotel. Housekeeping wasn't as good as expected. Items left in room from prior guest. Informed after first night, still there after second. Informed again at check out and they apologized and refunded internet fee in lieu of housekeeping issue, that was fair. Other than that the room and Priceline price was excellent. Very nice facilities as a whole.

Nothing is good other than the GYM and location.
Badly kept rooms, poor service, aged old carpets, dirty linen, horrible bathrooms.

Just stay away from this, use an extended stay instead.

Location.
Roof leaked, water everywhere in lobby, restaurants, old hotel, needs refurbishment.

Poor value, old furnishing, carpet, pet oder, restaurants over priced and not high quality. Staff was OK but didn't go out of their way to provide extra service. No bellman assistance.

Great food.
Horrible beds and pillows.

This hotel is very close to shopping and has a good restaurants. Hotel is also very clean and has a heated pool and spa. The only real problem was that there were uncomfortable beds and pillows.
