Room was very comfortable and everything seemed new.
Exterior of the hotel was not visually pleasing.

At a first glance from the outside, this hotel can really use a renovation, just like most hotels in Tucson. The area outside the rooms reminded me of high schools built in the 80's. However, we were impressed with the interior of the room, which quickly compensated for the exterior.

The desk staff was friendly.

When I checked in, there were bobby pins with hairs in them on the counter. There was no toilet paper. There were at least a dozen hairs on the toilet seat, as though someone had just been grooming themselves over it. When I attempted to call the front desk to tell them this, the phones (two in the room) were both completely out of order. The front desk did not want to switch me to another room, but rather wanted me to sit around while someone fixed this issue. read more

Comfortable beds, warm cookie at check-in.
Parking at night, no refrigerator in room.

Security gates to parking areas near our room closed at night, requiring driving around entire building complex to room. Basic amenities provided, but no mini-frig which would be nice in this climate for a 3+star hotel. Flat-screen TV but no channel guide provided that we could find.
