The location was really suited better for conventions rather than normal business travel.

The rooms were lovely, the pillows and bed linens terrific!
Cell phone service in 7th floor room non-existent/horrible

This hotel is worth a stay if cell phone reception is not an issue - we couldn't receive important calls. Parking is not particularly convenient and proximity to Armory with rowdy weekend events can present issues. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating.

not crowded and convenient to interstate and other attractions
parking was inconvenient

The hotel had a courteous staff and knowledgeable staff about the local area. The only drawback was parking; parking lot is located across the street behind other public buildings.

The location of the Durham Marriott is good.
I think parking is a tad inconvenient.

The service is good, the public facilities are nice, and the room was clean and well-fitted. Internet was free but the server was down when I first tried so that was disappointing. But I would definitely stay there again.

Very clean, well maintained and super staff, with fitness center.
The parking situation is bad.

Very nice and clean. The staff was super and helpful. The rooms are spacious and neatly maintained and they all offer a tremendious view of the downtown area.

Beautiful Hotel. The front desk personel were great! THANKS!!
Valet parking employee seemed lazy.

We were comped a valet parking ($10) due to disability. We at first were told to park on the street in front of the Hotel. The space was a 1 hour limit but the valet gentleman said we could park there since it was afer 5p.m.,we wouldn't get a ticket if moved by 8 a.m. the next morning. I felt uncomfortable leaving my car in a limited parking zone. I asked the Valet to park in a safer place but he seemed lazy and didn't,want to move it but eventually did get it moved. read more

Convenient driving to Duke University.
Hotel did not have 24-hour room service, or a pool on site.

Wish they had a pool on-site. The staff were generally nice, but did not go out of their way to assist us. Free parking, but would not walk to car alone at night due to location of hotel. Internet customer service was very helpful. Food at hotel lounge was hit-or-miss.
