The Resort is in the heart of the Galena Territorys rolling countryside in Galena Illinois among the continuous 6800 acres of pristine countryside. Eagle Ridge is the Midwests finest resort featuring 63 holes of championship golf indoor and outdoor fitness facilities plus a world of family recreation. The Resort also has a variety of restaurants offering it all from elaborate buffets to intimate dinners as well as room service. Stonedrift Spa offers massages and body treatments of all kinds. There is also horseback riding and hot air balloon rides. Eagle Ridge has it all to help you get away from the hectic nature of daily life. It is a special place, particularly around the Holiday Season. It was beautifully decorated and gave us a cheerful and warm holiday feeling.

The hotel has a lovely setting and is generally very good.
The villa we had was not as clean as expected.

We have stayed here in the past and had great experiences, so we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the villa. Also, our request for a cleaning was not fulfilled.

Excellent for a nature getaway - good warm pool (with outdoor sunning area) - beautiful small lake for canoeing, good hiking trails - very nice relaxing atmosphere.

Beautiful grounds, amenities were fabulous.

I loved this hotel. The grounds were beautiful. Lots of things to do at this hotel and lots of things were included in the price of your room. Food was good and it was very clean. People were very helpful and friendly.

The wait staff in the restaurant was great.
Noise from upstairs and lobby staff didn't care.

Upon arrival, the resort looked beautiful. The person in the lobby spoke too fast to get us to move on so I am still not sure where anything was. She made it clear she was hurrying. However, she also told us that since hardly anyone was in the resort, a lot of things would be closed (again something not disclosed.) The first night was awful with the upstairs neighbors moving furniture, pacing and going in and out the sliding door. I am really confused why they would put someone with a family upstairs when they had almost an empty resort. They should have spaced people out. I would not want to go to this resort during peak season as there are no sound barriers at all. When reported to the front desk on two different occasions, they merely skirted the issue and never offered any sort of apology for the inconvenience. They were not there to help. read more

This was a great place for families and couples alike. The resort facilities, including the General Store were accessible and had high quality merchandise. The villa was well appointed and spotless. A very enjoyable stay.

The scenery was amazing.
The price.

We stayed in the Settlement and I feel it was not really worth the price. I took it as a romantic get away and it turned out to be more of a family/business retreat place.

Excellent venue to explore Galena and the surrounding area towns and countryside. Upscale amenities and professional staff make a stay pleasant and memorable.
