Dark gloomy, front entrance reminded me of a funeral parlor, no elevators.

Good location for exploring the north shore of Long Island.
Wait staff at continental breakfast did not clean tables after patrons left. Saturday morning in particular.
I would recommend the Inn to anyone. Well located to explore the north shore of Long Island. Good restaurants and bakeries nearby.

The architecture.
Odor, service.
Quite nice building run by apathetic staff. Non lobby doors took deliberate exertion to close (so much for security). But nothing could compensate for the asphyxiating aroma of the room.

This hotel was clean, quiet, and home-like. Friendly staff, easy parking, clean rooms, great stay!
There was nothing to complain about.
The hotel is a great place for a quick get-away or for a longer stay. Rooms are quiet, no hall noise or room noises heard at all. I'd stay here again, for sure!

Free breakfast and pool.
Clean but poorly maintained rooms, no cell service.
I subsequently had a medical emergency with my daughter and had no way to call out and front desk staff would not do anything without me making a trip to the lobby. While rooms were clean, they were poorly maintained with cracks in walls, bathroom door coming off hinge, moldy grout, etc and some staff was overtly surly.

Although no restaurant in the hotel itself, there is an excellent choice of eating places to fit all budgets.
Statement that there is a 30% markup on all telephone calls, although, I was not charged for the one local call I made.
Value was good for the area. The room itself was very clean and included a refrigerator. I would say not to be put off by the fact that this is not a big hotel chain. Be wary about the fact that the hotel states it charges a 30% mark-up on local and long distance calls made from the room, although, in reality, I was not charged for the 1 local phone call I made. Good for business or pleasure and quite a few great local restaurants. read more
